Building a Multicultural and Reflective Practice

Join us for an afternoon of exploring how identity (e.g. race, class, gender, disability) informs our approaches to our work and our relationships with clients. Learn how to build a multicultural practice, how to engage authentically with clients from backgrounds different than your own, and how to best hold space and invite differences.

When: Sunday, May 6th, 3-6 pm

Where:  Margaret Jewett Hall at First Church in Cambridge, 11 Garden Street, Cambridge, (Harvard Square),

  • NSGP Members: $45
  • Non Members: $60
Presenter:

Dr. Liza Talusan is a nationally recognized speaker, educator and facilitator with expertise in engaging in conversations about diversity, racism, unconscious bias, privilege and power. She creates environments that allow for people to discuss these difficult topics openly. As an experiential educator, Liza's workshops lean on peer-to-peer learning where participants both teach and learn from one another over the course of the experience. With over 22 years of experience working in multicultural services, Liza serves as a consultant and coach to over 70 schools and non-profit organizations as they seek to provide greater diversity, equity and inclusion in their practice.
