The Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy’s year-long Experiential Group is now open for registration. The Experiential Group is one phase of the Three Phase Training Program.

Utilize NSGP's most memorable learning tool on 'how to be a group therapist' by stepping into the role a group participant!

What it IS NOT like: Probably anything you have experienced before. Not like a class....a workshop...... a barn raising... or a town hall.

What it IS like: Imagine you are a medical student tiny and fast enough to squeeze through a pore, catch up and climb onto a blood platelet, and pass through amazing organs as you barrel your way along the bloodstream. Similarly, as a student of group therapy, by joining an experiential group, you are entering into the very flow of group process and along the way bump up against one affective experience after another (some transformative) known only from an inside place.

Format: The 24 week training is broken down into Module 1 and Module 2, each 12 weeks in duration.

Cost: Each Module is $475. Enrolling in both Module 1 and 2 is discounted to $800 for both.

CEUs are available. A maximum of 30 CEUs awarded at the end of the full program.

Who it is led by: Barbara McQueen, LICSW
