Balint Method:

Increasing Clinician Resilience & Decreasing Professional Isolation

Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 2 PM to 4 PM

Tufts University Department of Occupational Therapy

574 Boston Avenue, Medford, MA 02155

Do you need help with your clients, supervisors, supervisees, groups or systems? In this 2-hour session, we will specifically focus on racialized dynamics that might exist between a clinician and "the other," who could be a client, a team, a supervisor, a supervisee, etc. A brief review of the history and methodology of the Balint Method will be followed by an experiential segment in which one or two participants will be invited to present a case for consultation.

Facilitator: Janice K. Wagner, LICSW is a psychotherapist and Group Relations Practitioner in the Tavistock tradition. She has conducted Balint-type groups for a broad range of professionals who seek to understand the dynamics of their organizational dilemmas that may be out of their awareness.

Fees: $50 NSGP Member / $60 Non-Member / Equity Rate Available
