Squaring the Circle: How to Engage in Straight Talk about Racial-Cultural Events and Microaggressions in Groups
Presented by Aziza A. B. Platt, PhD
This interactive presentation will explore how racial-cultural events, including microaggressions, occur and impact in therapy groups. Using examples from group members' experiences and NSGP members offerings, we will collectively explore impediments to straight talk about racial-cultural issues; the dynamics that keep us going in circles; and responding that allows our groups to synthesize instead of spiral. Sunday, November 1, 2020 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm via Zoom A link to join will be emailed to registrants prior to the event. Limited to 20 participants so register today!
