The mission of the Mentorship Committee is to facilitate the personal and professional growth of NSGP members. We offer mentoring relationships that will provide guidance, networking support for development as a group therapist, and expertise in organizational leadership. The mentor/mentee relationship is a reciprocal one, following the philosophy of lifelong learning. Mentorship can take place between individuals or in a group setting.

The members of Mentorship Committee are Suzanne L Cohen, Anaïs Lugo-Guercio, Barbara McQueen, and Lieb Swartz-Brownstein.

Some areas of mentorship include but not limited to:

• Time-limited groups
• Organizational leadership in NSGP and other professional settings
• Interpersonal groups
• In-patient groups
• Specialized populations
• Setting up an independent practice
