Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy Presents

A Two-Part Mini Conference

Connecting, Disconnecting & Reconnecting in Groups, Online & In Person

The last few years have challenged group therapists to provide ongoing connections in new and innovative ways as many restrictions impinged upon meeting in person.  We adapted and expanded our ways of connecting with each other through a screen that allowed for our voices to be heard and shared, our personal space to be exposed. We learned how ‘clouds’ of internet space made it possible for people from different geographical distances to come together. We are now courageously learning to integrate online and in person groups as ongoing modalities for providing group therapy.

This year, NSGP is offering a two-part Mini Conference to connect with group therapists, new, or experienced, near or far, to learn together and from each other through 2 all-day Experiential Groups.

Option A: Special Interest Group: “Moving between Two Dimensions and Three: How we experience our shifting dimensionality as we lead groups on Zoom and in person”, led by Julie Anderson, PhD, CGP.

Option B: General Experiential Group for Mixed Years of Experience. led by Farooq Mohyuddin, MD.

Option C: Special Interest Group: "Talking Across Differences: An Identity Based Approach to Groups" led by Alexandra (Sasha) Watkins, LMHC and Anaïs Lugo-Guercio, OT.
