This workshop is intended to provide an embodied learning experience in which participants will learn about the Trans Teens and Family Narratives Toolkit. Through guided experiential engagement, participants will learn about ways to work with trans and nonbinary clients and their families using the toolkit, with a focus on exploring questions, curiosities and concerns.

Presenters
LB Moore, M.Ed., M.Ed., LMHC (pronouns: they/them or ze/zir) is a licensed mental health counselor, clinical researcher, community educator, and organizational consultant whose work focuses on trauma-informed communities, intersectional liberation, and radical health for trans, nonbinary, and intersex people. Ze is affiliated with Boston Children’s Hospital, and has previously worked in community-based mental health, with a focus on serving HIV-impacted communities.
Yuliya Medzhitova, PhD (pronouns: she/her series) is a licensed psychologist specializing in the study and treatment of traumatic stress in children, adolescents, and adults with a focus on serving justice-impacted and immigrant-origin communities. She is currently based at the Center for Child Trauma and Resilience in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City where her professional roles include psychotherapist, adjunct professor, clinical researcher, and program evaluator.
