Have an idea for a nonfiction book but don’t know where to start? This session will provide an overview of the book-making process, from formulating an idea, to drafting a proposal, to pitching agents and publishers. Regardless of background, anyone can produce a strong book pitch with the right craft tools, platform, and market knowledge. Through a mix of lecture, Q&A, and discussion, you will learn how to create a compelling book proposal, find the best angle for your book, and develop a toolbox of writing skills. Participants will leave the session with a roadmap for bringing a nonfiction book from the idea stage all the way to publication.
