Supporting Gender Diverse Clients in an Uncertain World
In this two hour workshop with Meg Jeske, we will explore the increased challenges and intricacies of supporting gender diverse clients. She'll give an overview of what gender affirming mental health care involves under normal circumstances, and then address the added steps and strategies required in this increasingly antagonistic and dangerous socio political moment. Meg will also discuss gate-keeping, letter writing, and documentation when working with gender diverse clients. SUNDAY, MAY 18 from 3pm to 5pm on Zoom REGISTRATION FEES $30 NSGP Members $40 Non Members ABOUT YOUR PRESENTER Meg Jeske is a queer therapist in Portland, Oregon whose practice includes working within queer, transgender, kinky, and poly communities. She brings extensive experience in the topic areas of gender, sexuality, and trauma therapy from relational and feminist perspectives. Meg has been adjunct faculty at Lewis and Clark's Graduate School of Education and Counseling for nine years, teaching courses on Counseling LGBTQ clients and Counseling Gender Diverse clients. She is the parent of a transgender young adult, and the human of an anxious therapy labradoodle named Portland.
